Description

Renovation of a medical facility in Galveston, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.

Replace (6) glass units 48”x48” that are damaged on existing skylight in building M90 JSH. Glass must be laminated for the skylight application. Clarification: 2405.1 General: Sloped glazing and skylights in roofs and other locations must be designed to resist loads and must comply with safety glazing requirements. 2405.3 Screens and Glass Type: Glass used in skylights must be laminated glass, fully tempered glass, heat-strengthened glass, or wired glass. If the glass is not laminated, a retention screen (aka a safety screen) is often required below the glass to prevent falling glass shards.
