Site work for a civil project in Oroville, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
Butte County Resource Conservation District (BCRCD), in collaboration with the Forest Service (FS) Almanor Ranger District, Lassen National Forest, is seeking bids from qualified Trail Contractors (Contractor) to complete the implementation of drainage feature maintenance and construction, trail hardening, reroutes where the existing trail system is unsustainable, restoring or improving dispersed recreation areas, and improving the staging area to improve access and reduce resource impacts. The High Lakes region on the Lassen National Forest is home to a heavily used OHV trail system. The purpose of this project is to upgrade the existing High Lakes Motorized trail system to reduce trail erosion and subsequent sedimentation to project area aquatic resources. The proposed project includes installing trail drainage features (rolling dips with rock apron lead off ditches); adding appropriate size angular rock and reconnecting flow paths along the west edges of Campbell and Long Lakes, Trail 613; improving existing stream channel crossings by constructing low water crossings with 4-inch minus rock; hardening existing wet areas that currently traverse through aquatic features with 4-inch minus rock; and decommissioning/ rerouting select trails that currently impact water quality and riparian areas and subsequently rerouting those trails outside of those features. Contractor must have a valid California Contractors license (at time of contract award). Any Contractor wishing to submit a bid must have extensive and proven success completing trail maintenance on OHV trails. References are required. The work will be awarded based on the best value. To be eligible to bid on this project, contractors must attend the pre-bid conference and will be required to sign a Site Visit Verification form, submitted with the bid packet, confirming they visited the project site in person.
