Project Duration The length of the contract is three (3) years, with two (2) one-year renewal options at the election of the City. Online Q&A Yes Q&A Deadline 07/01/2025 2:00 PM (PDT) The City of Burlingame wishes to establish a contractual relationship to provide annual testing services for twenty-eight (28) backflow devices at various locations throughout the City. This contract will be awarded based on the three-year total cost of testing all devices annually. The City reserves the right to award multiple contracts in order to meet its operational needs. Scope of Work: Test 28 backflow devices at different City locations. Should the device fail, contractor shall attempt to repair immediately on a time & materials basis. Immediate retesting shall be at no additional charge to the City. If replacement parts need to be ordered before retesting, the listed test rate shall be charged. Contractors must meet the following requirements: Must be a San Mateo County-certified Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester. Must have current C-36 Plumbing Contractor license issued by the California Contractors State License Board. Must be registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations and eligible to bid on Public Works projects. Must be located within a 75-mile radius of Burlingame, California. Must pay prevailing wages and meet the City's insurance and business license requirements. Contractor must be able to meet all requirements in the attached sample agreement, if awarded the contract. (See Attachment A) Must meet the insurance and licensing requirements outlined in the City of Burlingame Contractor Requirements. A business license from the City of Burlingame is required. (See Attachment B) The City of Burlingame will be accepting 3-year total cost of performing backflow testing at each location, as well as, the total three-year cost and the hourly rate for repairs for this contract via PB SystemTM, a fully automated web-based vendor and bid management system. The City will award the contract to the responsible bidder with the lowest 3-year total cost testing all devices annually.
