Work of the Project includes building a 10-foot-wide asphalt path approximately 2.36 miles long. Base Bid does not include the 69th St neighborhood connection 115+27 to 127+23 and 70th St neighborhood connection 500+57 to 507+88, which is future work by others. Total 10-foot-wide asphalt path length with future work by other is approximately 2.53 miles long. Substantial Completion Date: May 29th, 2026. Prime contractor shall perform at least 30 percent of the original contract amount with contractor's own organization per section 108.1.2 of the current edition of the standard specifications for highway and structure construction. See Project Manual Invitation to Bid. Contractor shall complete the Affidavit of Non-Collusion that is part of the Bid Form confirming that the bidder has not engaged in any collusion related to the bidding of the project. Bidders shall submit the completed Subcontractor-Supplier Information Entry with the Bid. Failure to submit this information with Bid may result in rejection of the Bid as non-responsive. A 10 percent bid bond or certified check is required with bid. The low responsive, responsible bidder will be recommended for contract award. Owner reserves right to reject bid, to waive informalities in bid or to accept bid which will be in best interest of Owner. Base Bid shall remain open to acceptance for a period of 60 days after bid due date. Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation goal for this project is discretionary. TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS PROJECT ALL REQUIRED DBE FORMS SHALL BE COMPLETED AND SUBMITTED WITH BID AS INDICATED IN INVITATION TO BID. Bidder's attention is called to the "Notice of Requirements for Affirmative Action to Ensure Equal Employment Opportunity" (Executive Order 11246), contained in the Bid Documents, which set forth, in part, goals and timetables for the employment of women and minorities in the project area.
