Hart County Fiscal Court is accepting sealed bids for the construction of approximately one mile of Rubber Modified Asphalt surface mix overlay on Bunnell CrossingRoad. CR-1181 beginning at approximately MP 5.238S. Jackson Hwy (31E) extending west a distance of 1.00mile (5,280 LF) at an average width of 18ft = 10,560 SYusing 1.5 inches-rubber modified 0.38 NMAS asphalt surface mix, approximately 900 tons. The project has a fixed completion date of October 30, 2025. Outer envelopes must be marked SEALED BID- RUBBER MODIFIED ASPHALT The Kentucky Division of Waste Management must approve the materials, contractor, and scope of work prior to the Hart County Fiscal Court entering into a contract with a contractor. An award shall be made based on the best evaluated bid, as determined by the Hart County Fiscal Court. Jackson Highway (31E) extending West, a distance of 1.00 mile (5,280 LF) at a depth of 1.5 inches, using rubber modified 0.38 NMAS asphalt surface mix. The contractor and material must meet the specifications outlined in the Commonwealth of Kentucky 2025 Rubberized Asphalt Grant Application published by the Energy and Environmental Cabinet. The blacktop must meet the requirements of the Kentucky State Department of Transportation, Bureau of Highways, standard specifications of 197 Section 400, 804 and 806. The conventional paving (placed by the contractor awarded the county asphalt bid for current FY) and RMA paving must be within the same timeframe (1-2 days).
