West Virginia University on behalf of its Board of Governors ("BOG") located in Morgantown, West Virginia ("WVU" or "University") is initiating this Request for Proposals ("RFP") from qualified, experienced, and licensed Proposers to provide labor, materials, equipment, tools and supervision to modernize traction elevators inside the WVU Health Sciences Center North. The work includes, but is not limited to select demolition, concrete work, general trades and carpentry, elevator modernization, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC work. The work is located on the Evansdale Campus of West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV. Required documentation must be submitted under SUPPLIER ATTACHMENTS with Response. Completion Dates 1. The Contractor shall achieve Substantial and Final Completion of the entire Work as calculated or indicated below. The date of issuance of the West Virginia University's Notice to Proceed and/or Contract shall be used to calculate Substantial and Final Completion a. Substantial Completion shall be: July 13, 2026 b. Final Completion shall be: July 27, 2026 c. Final Completion shall be when project site is de-mobilized and all project documents listed in Close-Out section of the specifications has been sent to the Owner. The Contractor shall achieve Substantial and Final Completion of the entire Work as calculated or indicated above. The date of issuance of the West Virginia University's Notice to Proceed or Executed Agreement shall be used to calculate Substantial and Final Completion of contract time stated in number of consecutive calendar days or established date. Time is of the essence. Liquidated Damages shall be One Thousand Dollars ($1,000) per Calendar Day of delay in achieving Substantial Completion and Five Hundred Dollars ($500) per Calendar Day of delay in achieving Final Completion.
