The Contractor performing work under this contract shall possess one or more of the following California Contractors licenses: C-61, Limited Specialty, C-27, Landscape Specialty and a D-49, Tree Specialty, which are valid in the State of California at the time the contract is awarded. In addition, the contractor must provide a Type 3 and/or Type 6 Wildland Engine, with a 1,500 gallon minimum portable tank and full wildland fire PPEs necessary to support pile and prescribed burning operations under Marin Water direction. Lastly, the Contractor must be able provide a minimum three-person crew at each work site. This contract is for furnishing labor and equipment necessary to support watershed forestry by performing thinning, pile burning, and weed control. The work to be completed is located within multiple locations on the Mt Tamalpais Watershed within the County of Marin, California. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project (submitted on or after March 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to labor Code section 1725.5 (with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a). Unless otherwise specified, proposals will be considered for the complete job only. In accordance with the Instructions to Bidders, all bid documents must be completed on forms supplied with the contract specifications. Each Bidder is requested to return the entire specification booklet. The Bidder must include a certified check, cash, cashier's check or bid bond executed by an admitted surety authorized by the California State Department of Insurance to transact business in California as a guarantee that the Bidder will, if successful, promptly execute a satisfactory contract and furnish bonds as required by these specifications. The certified check, cash, cashier's check or bid bond shall be not less than ten (10) percent of the total amount of the bid and shall be payable to the Marin Municipal Water District. No contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project (awarded on or after April 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. Copies of the prevailing wage rates are also on file and available at the Office of the Manager of Engineering at 220 Nellen Avenue, Corte Madera, and in the office of the Marin County Department of Public Works, Civic Center, Room 304, San Rafael, California. The District reservesthe right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularitiesin said bids. Question Deadline 07/11/2025 NIB Questions.
