Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Lethbridge, Alberta. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The objective of this project is to procure experienced construction services to remove and replace existing pathways in 4 Lethbridge parks in need of lifecycle replacement. This project will improve accessibility and experience for park users. The scope of work to be completed under this Contract consists of supplying all materials, equipment, products, labour and transportation for construction of the 2025 Asphalt Pathway Repairs Project including, but not limited to: Prime Contractor responsibilities Project management and coordination Mobilization and demobilization Attendance and participation in construction and safety meetings Schedule management and delay mitigation Quality control Safeguarding of work areas Traffic, pedestrian and park user accommodation Survey requirements Environmental requirements Tree Protection Fencing Root Barrier installation Hydrovac utilities Turf stripping and disposal offsite Topsoil stripping and stockpiling on site Common excavation and earthworks Asphalt pathway removal Subgrade preparation Asphalt pathway construction Root barrier installation Irrigation adjustments Drainage infrastructure installation Topsoil placement and finish grading Sod placement Landscape Rehabilitation Warranty work completed as part of this contract (2-year) Ravine Park Remove and dispose of all existing asphalt pathway and subgrade materials. Widen pathway width to 2.4 m. Realign pathway connecting to the street crossing as per design to improve pedestrian safety. Protect existing infrastructure. Supply and install new granular sub-base and asphalt pathway as designed, to City of Lethbridge standards. Compete irrigation realignments as per design. Mount Blakiston Park Remove and dispose of all existing asphalt pathways and subgrade materials including playground approaches and sitting areas, excluding walkway entrances at the north and northeast ends of the park. Mill and overlay north and northeast walkway entrances. Install swing gates at both walkway entrances. Protect existing infrastructure especially new playground curbs and surfacing, lights, sidewalks, trees, irrigation, signage, etc. Install concrete pads for benches and garbage cans as required. Widen pathway width to 2.4 m. Saw cut all potentially impacted tree roots. Supply and install tree root barrier as specified. Supply and install new granular sub-base and asphalt pathways as designed, to City of Lethbridge standards Install drainage infrastructure and irrigation repairs and realignments as per design Nicholas Sheran Park Remove and dispose of all existing asphalt pathway and subgrade materials within the project boundary clearly defined in the design package. Widen existing pathway alignment to 4.0 m. Realign portion of pathway as per design to improve functionality. Protect existing infrastructure, including trees, benches and irrigation. Saw cut all potentially impacted tree roots. Install root barrier as per design. Supply and install new granular sub-base and asphalt pathways as designed, to City of Lethbridge standards. Install drainage infrastructure as per design. Garry Drive Regional Trail Remove and dispose of all existing asphalt pathway and subgrade materials within the project boundary clearly defined in the design package. Realign portion of pathway as per design Protect existing infrastructure including trees Saw cut all potentially impacted tree roots Install root barrier as per design Supply and install new granular sub-base and asphalt pathways as designed, to City of Lethbridge standards. Install drainage infrastructure as per design All Locations must have a park user accommodation plan completed ahead of scheduled work.
