The North Slope Borough is seeking sealed bids for Construction services for the Barrow Landfill Expansion Project Phase VI, Utqiagvik, Alaska. The work consists of the construction of a new landfill working pad and additional miscellaneous work in existing working and closed cells, as identified in the Constract Documents. The project is known as Barrow Landfill Expansion Phase VI, Utqiagvik, Alaska. All potential bidders are required to call in to this pre-bid conference. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check payable to the order of the North Slope Borough for a sum not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the proposal, or accompanied by a bid bond, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the proposal, of a corporate surety licensed to do business in the State of Alaska, conditioned that the bidder will pay the Borough, as liquidated damages, the amount specified in the bond, unless it enters into a contract in accordance with its proposal and furnishes the performance and payment bond with surety satisfactory to the Borough in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price and insurance certificate within ten (10) days from the date on which it is notified that it is the successful bidder, its check (or bid bond) and the amount thereof shall be forfeited to the Borough. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive irregularities or informalities in any of the proposals. Bids may be awarded in accordance with the Borough's preference policy, a copy of which is available upon request. Each proposal shall be submitted only on the prescribed proposal forms included with the contract documents.
