Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Saint Louis, Missouri. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Reference Number 0000391235 upgrades to the South Parking Lot with two coats of sealer, striping, replacement of portion of bad asphalt, and placement of 100 parking stops. Exact placement is to be determined with the Project Manager. This project will be accomplished in two phases in order to continually keep a portion open to the public. Work can only begin after September 1, 2025. Remove and Replace 4" Asphalt The area of consideration is approximately 20 square yards of deteriorated pavement. This will need to be removed. Replace with 2 inches of base mix asphalt and rolled to proper compaction. Install 2 inches of hot surface mix asphalt, blending and tapering as necessary, roll to proper compaction. 2. Hot Rubberized Crack Sealing (PLS) Approximately 26,000 Linear Feet Cracks are to be blown out and debris removed with the aid of crack cleaning equipment appropriate for the job. Upon completion of the crack preparation, rubberized hot pour elastic crack sealer will be used to seal the cracks, and be followed immediately by a finish tool to level the material in a narrow band across the cracks. 3. Seal Coating The area under consideration is approximately 30,427 square yards. All surfaces should be cleaned of loose material, weeds, grass and dirt so that the sealer will adhere to the existing surface. a. This work will need to be done in two phases, approx. 50% to be done in each phase. b. The material to use should be MAC 52 Coal Tar Sealer as a "two coat process". c. The first coat is to be applied with a squeegee. d. The second coat can be applied with a squeegee or by being sprayed. Any submitted proposal shall remain valid and subject to acceptance for ninety (90) days after the proposal due date. 4. Line Striping-Layout and stripe the parking lot area as per the existing layout with one coat of traffic marking paint. 5. Wheel Stops- Provide and install 100 new 6' concrete wheel stops where needed.
