Completed plans call for the construction of a fire / police facility; for site work for a fire / police facility; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; pre-engineered storage facility; pre-engineered storage facility; and water / sewer project.

The project consists of providing site development work and building components for the proposed Evidence Storage and Firing Range Building to be constructed near the existing Dallas County Sheriff's Department. The project is located at: 28985 Thin Blue Line Lane Adel, Iowa 50003 Preapproval Form submissions are only being accepted at this time for the work scope packages listed below: BP 03.01 Building Concrete - This package includes, but is not limited to, excavating for and furnishing and installing formwork, reinforcing steel, and placing and finishing concrete foundations; prepping for and furnishing and installing formwork, reinforcing steel, and placing and finishing concrete slabs on grade and elevated concrete slabs on steel deck; setting anchor rods and embeds furnishing by others; and placing and finishing concrete at stair tread pan infill as shown for the Evidence Storage and Firing Range Building. BP 04.01 Masonry Work - This package includes, but is not limited to, furnishing and installing masonry reinforcing steel, concrete masonry units, brick masonry units, grout, air/vapor barrier for cavity wall construction, and rigid cavity wall insulation; and setting masonry embeds furnished by others as shown for the Evidence Storage and Firing Range Building. BP 05.01 Steel Joists, Deck, & Fabrications - This package includes, but is not limited to, furnishing and installing steel joists, steel deck, and metal fabrications; furnishing anchor rods and/or steel embeds for installation by others in concrete and masonry construction (in support of the work of this package) as shown for the Evidence Storage and Firing Range Building. BP 13.01 Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) - This package includes, but not limited to, furnishing and installing pre-engineered metal building components; furnishing anchor rods and/or steel embeds for installation by others in concrete and masonry construction (in support of the work of this package); and furnishing and installing the roof and sidewall insulation package as shown for the Evidence Storage and Firing Range Building. BP 31.01 Earthwork & Site Utilities - This package includes, but is not limited to, site clearing, stripping and stockpiling, cut and fill rough grading, subgrade surcharging, subgrade preparation, topsoil respread, rough final grading, and water, sanitary, and storm utilities as shown for the Evidence Storage and Firing Range Building. BP 32.01 Site Concrete - This package includes, but is not limited to, furnishing and installing site concrete, pavement joint sealants, markings, and parking lot appurtenances as shown for the Evidence Storage and Firing Range Building. The Construction Manager and/or Owner will review, and score submitted Preapproval Forms based upon an objective scoring process and statutory criteria. Submissions meeting or exceeding minimum scoring criteria shall be deemed as an approved bidder for the project. The Construction Manager and/or Owner retain the right to reject any/all submission documents if documentation is deemed flawed, incomplete, or insufficient to properly score.
