Reference Number 0000391465 Resurfacing of the Moorhead Rec Center pool The term of the contract is to be from the date of award through a twelve (12)-month contract period, and upon the expiration of said period, the contract will terminate automatically, without notice, written or oral. Responses to written inquiries (if required) will be published in the form of an Addenda/Addendum and posted on online under the same location as the original bid and numbered accordingly. The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive any informalities in the proposals received, and to accept the proposal(s) deemed most advantageous and in the best interests of the City Shall include but not limited to the complete demolition of existing plaster and installation of a quartz aggregate finish as designated in the plans and specifications within strict accordance to manufacturer instructions and listed reference o Demolition and removal of the Lap and leisure pool finish patching and repairs. o Remove: Remove and legally dispose of items except those indicated to be reinstalled, salvaged, or to remain the Owner's property upon owner's request. o Existing to Remain: Protect construction indicated to remain against damage and soiling during selective demolition. Items may be removed to a suitable, protected storage location during selective demolition and then cleaned and reinstalled in their original locations. o Except for items or materials indicated to be reused, salvaged, reinstalled, or otherwise indicated to remain the Owner's property, demolished materials shall become the Contractor's property and shall be removed from the site with further disposition at the Contractor's option. o Finish quartz aggregates in a workmanlike fashion. Trowel surface smooth. Proceed with application to natural breaks. o Apply the quartz aggregate finish so that it is flush with the pool gutter, tiles and other imbedded items as detailed in the plans and specifications. o The pool finish must be installed to a thickness and tolerance between 3/8" to 1/2 " or as recommended by the manufacturer. o No hollow areas discolored or delaminated areas will be acceptable, all hollow areas must be chipped out and repaired, and patching shall be done in a quality fashion. If hollow spots are detected where individual patching required will reduce the overall aesthetic value, it will be the owner's discretion to have an entire area between breaks removed and replaced. o The filtration and chemical system must be ready for start-up and operating immediately after the pool is filled for pool finish curing per manufacture instructions. o The contractor is responsible for all brushing/cleaning, chemical monitoring, and other requirements set forth by the manufacturer's installation and curing instructions. This shall not be the responsibility of the owner. o The installation contractor shall guarantee the finish to be free of sharp edges and splatter that may cause cuts on swimmers' feet o Schedule of selective demolition activities indicating the following: - Detailed sequence of selective demolition and removal work, with starting and ending dates for each activity. - Interruption of utility services - Detailed sequence of selective demolition and removal work to ensure uninterrupted progress of Owner's on-site operations. - Coordination of Owner's continuing occupancy of portions of existing building and of Owner's partial occupancy of completed work. - Locations of temporary partitions and means of egress. - Inventory of items to be removed and salvaged. - Photographs or videotape, sufficiently detailed, of existing conditions of adjoining construction and site improvements that might be misconstrued as damage caused by selective demolition operations. - Regulatory Requirements: Comply with governing EPA and OSHA notification regulations before starting selective demolition. Comply with hauling and disposal regulations of authorities having jurisdiction. o Experience/Qualifications. - The installer shall be a member of the National Plasterer's Council in good standing. - The installer shall provide documentation/certification that the laborer's performing the work on site have been factory trained by the pool finish manufacturer Question Acceptance Deadline July 3, 2025 by 4:00 p.m. MDT
