Reference Number 0000400323 The City of Aurora is renovating the HVAC systems of the City of Aurora Fox Theater. The project involves a base scope of the replacement of the two existing mechanical systems which service studio theater and workshop areas (base bid), as well as alternates including the removal, replacement, and relocation of the mechanical system that services the lobby (as an alternate). The work is broken out as base bid and alternates such that the City of Aurora may select alternates in any order deemed suitable. All alterations shall comply with the Aurora Historic Preservation Committee to preserve the proportions and character of the building. Original bid bond does not have to be delivered to the City; however, each bidder should maintain the original on file should the City request it at a later time. The Contract Documents require that all work be substantially completed by December 15, 2025, and fully completed by December 31, 2025, after issuance of notice to proceed. Failure to complete the work as prescribed shall be considered as a Breach of Contract and subject to Liquidated Damages which are $500.00 per day.
