Site work for a water / sewer project in Ivanhoe, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
This Project provides for improvements along approximately 200 linear feet of Lake Ivanhoe Dam in the City of Ivanhoe, Texas. The Lake Ivanhoe Dam is an existing earthen dam and construction activities for the improvements will include earthwork, RCP drain installation,reinforced concrete construction, rock rip rap, and other ancillary civil construction activities. The contracted work will include, but not be limited to:(Reference Bid Documents for detailed Scope of Work) * Mobilization * Traffic Control - barricades, signs, traffic detours, etc. * SW3P - preparation,maintenance, and removal * Construction Materials Testing * Prepare Right-of-Way *Proof Rolling * Embankment/Placement of Structural Fills * Reinforced Concrete LakeDrain Intake * Installation of Slide Gate * Install 36" Diameter Reinforced Concrete Pipe (RCP) * Install TxDOT Type II Safety End Treatment * Construct Sand Filter Diaphragm * Reinforced Concrete Service Spillway w/ Baffle Blocks *Excavation * Construct Proposed Outfall Ditch * Re-Grade Existing Outfall Ditch *Install 12" Stone Rip Rap, with Geotextile Fabric * Permanent Seeding . The deadline to ask questions is 7/15/2025 5:00 PM CST A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Ivanhoe, Texas or negotiable U.S.Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises, Women Business Enterprises, Section 3 Businesses, and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to submit bids. Ivanhoe, Texas reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may beheld by the City of Ivanhoe for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award. This contract shall include, but not be limited to, the following: 1. Mobilization - this item includes but is not limited to the movement of all equipment, personnel, and supplies as well as the establishment and removal of any temporary offices, plants, and/or facilities necessary for the Contractor to execute the scope of work as described here-in and in the construction drawings and technical specifications. Mobilization will not exceed 5% of the Total Base Bid as stated in the Special Provisions to TxDOT Specifications document. 2. Traffic Control - this item includes but is not limited to the management of traffic in and around the work area as necessitated by the nature of the construction project and the Contractor's work sequence, means, and methods. Contractor shall provide appropriate signage, barricades, flagging and traffic handling methods conforming to the TxDOT details included in the construction drawings as well as Part IV of the "Texas Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices". Contractor shall implement proper detours when closing intersections and roads for work. All traffic control plans are to be coordinated with the City. 3. SW3P - this item includes but is not limited to the implementation of the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan as detailed in the construction drawings as well as the maintenance and removal of erosion control measures. 4. Construction Materials Testing - this item includes but is not limited to the Contractor's procurement of an independent testing laboratory for the purpose of inspecting and testing the materials and methods of construction. 5. Prepare Right of Way - this item includes but is not limited to the removal of unwanted obstructions within the project area. Project area is defined as: from station 1+00 to station 4+00 along the dam crest for the width of the improvements along the dam; from station 0+00 to station 2+50 along the length of the 36" RCP for the width of the improvements; and from station 0+00 to station 3+46 along the proposed outfall ditch centerline for the width of the improvements. This includes typical stripping for the removal of vegetation, root systems, organics, overgrown brush and/or trees, and other deleterious materials as necessary for preparation of construction activities. Contractor is responsible for disposing of all materials removed including trees, root balls, stripped organics, etc. 6. Proof Rolling - this item includes but is not limited to the proof rolling and/or compaction of the existing subgrade throughout the project area, as defined in the Prepare Right of Way item, prior to the placement of new structural fill materials as detailed by the construction drawings and specifications. A Supplemental Bid Item is provided for over excavation and backfilling of a soft spot identified during the proof rolling effort. The quantity of this supplemental item is estimated at 10 CY for the purpose of establishing a unit price. 7. Install 36" RCP Lake Drain Culvert - this item includes but is not limited to the installation of 188 linear feet of 36" diameter Reinforced Concrete Pipe as detailed by the construction plans and specifications. Any excavation, bedding, backfilling, placement of new fill materials, or similar construction efforts associated with this item will not be paid for separately but will be considered subsidiary to this item. Contractor is responsible for disposing of all excavated/removed material(s) associated with this item unless the City request this excavated material, in which case, Contractor is to haul the material to a site designated by the City.
