Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
Construction of, variable thickness asphaltic concrete pavement, variable Thickness concrete base, 6" concrete base, pavement grinding, 7" concrete Driveways, concrete curb and gutter, 5" concrete walks, pavement grinding, Repair pavement joints and cracks, cracking and seating concrete pavement, Installation of conduit, fiberglass/polymer concrete pull boxes, and other Electrical appurtenance, gravel filling, concrete removals, pavement marking, Sewer work, water work, tree clearing & grubbing, etc. Time for Completion: All work on West Vine Street - North 53rd Street to North 55th Street shall be completed by August 22, 2025. All other work on this contract shall be completed by October 24, 2025. Liquidated Damages, per diem: $1000.00/Day. The residency requirement for this project is 40% of all hours worked on the project. One quarter of these hours must be attributable to residents living in the following zip codes: 53204, 53205, 53206, 53208, 53210, 53215, and 53233. The SBE requirement for this project is 25% of the contract base bid. The SBE Compliance Plan (Form A) must be submitted with the bid and is an element of bid responsiveness. SBE certificates must be submitted with the Form A. Incomplete SBE Compliance Plans (Form A) or inaccurate SBE Compliance Plans will not be accepted and will render the bid unresponsive. If this contract is awarded at $500,000 or higher, 25% of all apprentice labor hours must be worked by apprentices certified for participation in the Residents Preference Program and 40% of all apprentice labor hours must be attributed to apprentices living in the following zip codes: 53204, 53205, 53206, 53208, 53210, 53215, and 53233. Doc Note : Public Works Contract Office by emailing DPWbids@milwaukee.gov. THE EMAILED COPY OF THE BOND MUST BE RECEIVED BY NO LATER THAN 10:30 A.M. ON THE SAME DATE THAT THE BIDS ARE DUE FOR THAT SPECIFIC OFFICIAL NOTICE, or the bid will be considered non-responsive. The original bid bond document must then be submitted by the contractor to the Department of Public Works Contract Office in-person or by mail to 841 N Broadway, Rm. 506, Milwaukee, WI 53202, within 24 hours upon being notified that they are the apparent low bidder.
