Rail Trail from Broadway to State Park Construction of a segment of the Trans Florida Central "Rails-to-Trails" Corridor, toinclude provisionof materials, machinery, equipment, labor and utilities to construct a 12'wide ADA compliant, paved,non-motorized trail with stormwater swale drainage andoutfall culverts, including but not limited to:clearing, earthwork, subgrade, base, surfacecourse, stormwater management and ancillariesneeded to complete the specifiedconstruction. Bid security inthe amount of five percent (5%) of the bid must accompany the sealed proposal ofeach bidder asfollows: a cashiers check, a certified check or a surety bond payable to the City ofFellsmere.Deposits will be returned to unsuccessful bidders. If the Contract is awarded to aBidder, that Biddershall enter into a Contract with the City and furnish the required Performanceand Payment Bondsand Certificates of Insurance or forfeit the Bid Bond or security as liquidated damages. A contractmust be executed within ten (10) days following the award of the successful bidder. The City reserves the right to delay the awarding of the Contract for up to sixty (60) days afterthebid opening, to waive informalities in any bid, or to reject any or all bids in whole or in part withorwithout cause/or to accept the bid that, in its judgment, will serve the best interests of the City.
