Renovation of an educational facility in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 15,876-square-foot educational facility.

1. Provide and install work documented, detailed, and specified in Construction Documents. 2. This package includes interior and building demolition for all floor coverings, ceilings, floor slabs, wall coverings, walls, ceilings, and misc. removals required by contract documents. Note that site demolition is in a separate bid package. 3. Provide labor, materials, and equipment for temporary bracing and shoring, as required for demolition. 4. Reference overall schedule provided in bid documents for the start, duration and completion dates for the work within this bid package. 5. Hollow metal frames in Masonry will be installed by Bid Package #12 Masonry Contractor. Hollow metal frames in Metal Stud Construction will be installed by Bid Package #17 Contractor. This contractor will unload and coordinate the storage and distribution of hollow metal frames. Provide installation of doors and hardware. 6. Aluminum hardware to be installed Bid Package #16. Work to commence on or about August 4, 2025. Reference overall schedule for substantial completion dates. All work and equipment is to be in accordance with the plans, specifications and contract documents on file with the Board of Education of the Cedar Rapids Community School District, which are by this reference made a part of this notice as though fully set out and incorporated herein Bid Security shall be submitted with each bid as security the successful bidder will enter into a contract for the work bid and shall furnish after the award of contract corporate surety bond or bonds, acceptable to the owner, for the faithful performance of the contract in the amount equivalent to 100% of the amount of the contract. I. Bid security shall be in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. Bid Security may be in the form of a cashier's check or certified check drawn on a bank in Iowa or a bank chartered under the laws of the United States of America, or a certified bank share draft drawn on a credit union in Iowa or chartered under the laws of the United States of America or a bid bond with corporate surety satisfactory to the Owner.
