The Public Improvement, upon which quotes are requested, generally consists of install manhole liners in 9 manholes located at various locations in the Lennox neighborhood area. The successful bidder shall be required to provide performance and payment bonds, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract Price. The City Council of the City of Cedar Rapids reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities and technicalities, and to enter into such contracts as it deems to be in the best interest of the City. The City reserves the right to defer acceptance of any proposal for 60 calendar days after the bids have been received and opened. If any prospective bidder is in doubt as to the true meaning of any parts of the contract documents, the bidder shall use the "Questions" function on the project's listing found on the City's IonWave website, http://citycrbids.ionwave.net. Questions regarding the contract documents that are submitted via email, phone, or fax will not be answered. Refer to IonWave for the Question Cut Off date and time. Any interpretation of the contract documents will be made in writing and only by an addendum duly delivered to each prospective bidder who received, or in the future requests, contract documents from Jurisdiction. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding.
