Renovation of an educational facility in Union, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 84,000-square-foot, seven-story above grade educational facility.
This Bid is for the Replacement of Two Passenger Elevators Serving the Six Floor Sozio Residential Building at The Main Campus of Kean University in Union New Jersey. The Selected Contractor is Expected to Complete All Required Work in Order for the Two Passenger Elevators to Be Operational and Pass Inspections for Use No Later Than August 15, 2026. Separate Work as Required for the Construction of a New Elevator Machine Room on the First Floor is Excluded From This Bid Request. The Ancillary Work to Create the 'new' Elevator Machine Room is Expected to Be Completed by Other Contractors on May 15, 2026 in Order for the Elevator Contractor's Work on Site to Proceed. Ancillary Work as Required for the Construction of the 'new' Elevator Machine Room on the First Floor is Excluded From This Bid Request, as Noted In the Construction Documents. Deadline for Inquiries and Substitutions is July 21, 2025 at 12:00 P.m. All Inquiries Must Be Submitted in Writing to Faruque Chowdhury at Procurementbids@kean.edu With a Copy to Avarava@exchange.kean.edu. Each Bid Shall Be Accompanied by a Security Payable to Kean University. The Bid Security Shall Be 10% of the Bid Amount, and Shall Be Given by Bid Bond. If a Contract is Awarded, the Successful Bidder Shall Enter Into a Contract With Kean University and Shall Furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, Each Equal to 100% Of the Bid Amount Submitted.
