Provide Overhead Door Replacement, Repair and Installation on an as-needed and on-call time and materials basis, to facilities owned or operated by VDOT within the Richmond District. SCOPE OF WORK: The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, supervision, tools, parts, materials, supplies and incidentals as necessary for repairing, replacing and installing all sizes of commercial overhead doors on an on-call as-needed basis to any VDOT facility located within the Richmond District and in accordance with the specifications contained herein. Currently there are an estimated 150 overhead doors in service throughout the Richmond District with door sizes ranging from eight (8) to twelve (12) feet in width. There are sectional and coiling type doors and construction materials may include wood, steel, fiberglass and aluminum with various operating mechanisms and related equipment. Some doors are equipped with electronic automatic openers.
