Description

Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.

This contract includes the 18-foot finished diameter Ohio River Tunnel, the 14-foot finished diameter Chartiers Creek and Sawmill Run Tunnels, an 8-foot finished diameter dewatering tunnel and several associated tunnel audits. The contract also includes eight deep shafts ranging in diameter from 25 - 70 feet, ten flow regulator structures, two aboveground control buildings and a river wall. TIMELINE: As per August 11th, 2026, Pre-construction activities have started on the Ohio River Tunnel (ORT) project in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, following the award of the over $1 billion construction contract to Brayman-Lane JV. All sub-contractor trades on this project are currently let, however, given the length of this project, opportunities may exist in future years.
