Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Capitola, California. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; playground / park / athletic field; and water / sewer project.
**As of August 1,2025, project was awarded to SSB Construction Inc., awarded amount is $1,054,978.97.** The City of Capitolas Department of Public Works is currently soliciting bids for the construction of the following project: Community Center Patio Project The project includes landscape and accessibility improvements around the Capitola Community Center at Jade Street Park. Work involves reconstruction of the east and south patios with accessible paths to the sidewalk, a new accessible entry and seating area on the north side, and west patio improvements including seating, a seat wall, an accessible stage, and a path to the parking lot. An accessible path will also be added to connect the west patio to the playground. Additional scope includes new landscaping, irrigation, and drainage per plans. Coordination with adjacent projects - including the Community Center renovation, playground, and restroom improvements is required. Completion of Work: All work shall be completed within 90 calendar days for the date when the Contract Time commences to run Required Contractors License(s): A California class B contractors license is required to bid this contract. Joint ventures must secure a joint venture license prior to award of this Contract.
