Renovation of an educational facility in Kent, Ohio. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a 109,000-square-foot educational facility.
Kent State Ashtabula Main Hall C Wing Renovations for Student Services Kent State University at Ashtabula Campus was founded in 1958 and is part of the Kent State University's 8 campus system which sits on over 80 acres overlooking Lake Erie. It offers state of the art learning across its four building footprint including that of Main Hall, built in 1965. Main Hall is home to most of the educational programs and classes offered at Kent State Ashtabula. The 109,000 square foot building is heavily utilized and consists of the "A wing" student services, the "B wing" Auditorium and Gymnasium and the "C wing" classroom spaces. It has undergone transformational capital improvements throughout the past decade through several phases including the enhancement of student focused spaces and learning environments. This project focuses on the creation of an office suite within the footprint of repurposed underutilized classrooms for student focused success programs in the final phase of renovations in Main Hall C Wing. The renovation will include HVAC and electrical renovations as needed to support the new usage of the space.
