Renovation of an educational facility in Kent, Ohio. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
DeWeese Second Floor Renovation for CAPS Kent State University Kent Campus, Portage County Architect/Engineer Request for Qualifications The project will be focused on the second floor of DeWeese. The central core will reworked to create a CAPS reception area. It is desired to sever the second floor mechanical system from the first floor. During schematic designs options for a rooftop unit along with roof replacement will be studied against carving space for a mechanical room on the second floor to house dedicated equipment. Most of the remaining scope will be fit-out and finishes work. Furniture will be relocated from Van Campen to DeWeese. Floor abatement work will be required under this project. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
