This is the Phase 2 solicitation following an Invitation to Qualify. Only qualified suppliers have been invited to bid. PSPC has a requirement for drainage repairs at KM 897 of the Alaska Highway in British Columbia. The work under this contract is in four general areas and consists of the following: .1 Highway Culvert Inlet: .1 Supply and Installation of gabions, including geotextile, gabion baskets and gabion fill, including minor earthworks. .2 Highway Culvert Outlet: .1 Supply and Installation of gabions, including geotextile, gabion baskets, backfill, gabion fill, minor earthworks, and rock breaking. .3 Highway Drainage Improvements: .1 Repair erosion on highway embankment. .2 Removal, salvage, and supply, and re-installation of concrete roadside barriers (CRBs). .3 Supply and install CSP ditch liner system. .4 Supply and installation of gabion splashpads. .4 Bypass Road Channel Restoration: .1 Excavation and disposal of existing culvert and embankment fill. .2 Channel construction. .3 Supply and placement of stream substrate. .4 Supply and placement of boulder clusters. .5 Channel bank revegetation with willow fascines. Other requirements: .1 Quality Management. .2 Site preparation. .3 Water accommodation. .4 Traffic accommodation. .5 Environment management. .6 Adhere to waste reduction requirement for reuse or recycling of waste materials, thus diverting materials from landfill.
