This is the first phase (Phase One) of a two-phase competition. The first phase will evaluate the qualifications of all bidders. The second phase, (Phase Two), will invite the qualified bidders to provide a financial bid on the project based on the specifications and drawings. Upon award of a contract in Phase Two, the pre-qualification list resulting from the first phase will expire and will not be used in any other solicitation. The Sikanni Chief River Bridge has been damaged due to high heat impacts resulting from a truck fire at the south approach to the structure. This contract includes installation of temporary works that will strengthen the bridge to allow for reinstatement of single lane alternating truck traffic. The scope of work included in this strengthening contract includes installation of steel bridge girders on the bridge deck within span 1 and span 2 combined with high strength steel bars that extend below the superstructure which support transverse steel wide flange beams. The scope of work will include supply, fabrication, and erection for all of the strengthening members with the exception of the steel girders which will be supplied by PSPC.
