PSPC has a requirement for the rehabilitation of the Beatton River Bridge (km 232.8) and the Bougie Creek Bridge (km 357.4) on the Alaska Highway in British Columbia. The work under this contract is in: New girder web stiffeners to support new bridge deck. Replace the existing bridge deck with a new concrete deck on the existing steel girders. New approach slabs, curbs and TL-4 performance level thrie-beam guardrails. Modify existing abutments and wing walls to suit the new bridge deck and barriers. Re-grading of existing road and placement of barriers to suit new bridge deck. Milling BST/Asphalt surface and hauling offsite. Minor embankment widening and/or repairs eroded areas of abutment embankments. BST /Asphalt Paving. Replace existing bearings with new bearings at the abutments. Other requirements: Site preparation. Traffic accommodation. Environment management. Jacking and blocking plan. Supply, placement, and finishing of an unreinforced concrete test slab.
