2025 - 2028 Water Well Maintenance and Rehabilitation Each bid must be accompanied by bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of 5 percent of bidders maximum bid price and in the form of a certified check, cashiers check or a bid bond. The successful bidder will be required to obtain a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each in the amount of 100% of the contract amount. Bidders shall be licensed in the classification of Municipal and Public Works Construction or Specialty: Water Well Drilling. Bids must be filed prior to the above hour and date with the undersigned at City Hall. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible, responsive bidder with the right reserved by the City to reject any or all Bids for just cause as defined by LA R.S. 2214(B). No bidder may withdraw his bid within 45 days after the actual date of opening thereof. The City of Alexandria, Louisiana owns and maintains 50 water wells of varying depths. The work encompassed by this contract includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to diagnose problems, recommend repairs, and service and maintain the wells on an on-call basis. The water wells are located in or near the City limits as well as in the Kisatchie Well Field, approximately ten miles southwest ofthe City. Question Deadline 08/05/2025 All questions about the meaning or intent of the CONTRACT Documents are to be directed to the ENGINEER in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by ENGINEER in response to such questions will be issued by ADDENDA mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by ENGINEER as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by formal written ADDENDA will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
