There is an existing stone masonry retaining wall (supporting cut section) along the south side of Track 1 that is listing toward the track and that requires construction of a new soldier pile wall between 41st Street (OH 2.88) and 42nd Street (OH 3.03). In addition, areas of steep embankment and heavy slope erosion require a soldier pile wall adjacent to Track 1 between 42nd Street (OH 3.03) and Girard Avenue (OH 3.23). Construction at this location will include tree removal and embankment material to provide a stable slope.
