Price quoted shall remain firm for ninety (90) days after bid closing date. The existing sewer line at Shawnee North has reached the end of life and is currently inoperable. Shawnee County Parks + Recreation (SCP+R) is seeking a qualified vendor to supply and replace approximately one thousand four hundred feet (1400') of sewer line. SCP+R requests this to be a turn-key project so bidders shall be required to attend the pre-bid meeting to perform inspection of location and assure all facets of this RFP are taken into account. 1. Replace sewer line from the concession stand/bathroom to lagoon destination. a. Existing line is four inch (4") clay piping for approximately three hundred sixty-seven feet (367'). b. The four inch (4") line transitions to six inch (6") in an approximate area to the northeast of the community center. New line will transition from 4" to 6" line as well to allow for future development. c. Existing line includes clay, galvanized, and pvc pipe. New line should be PVC rated for sanitary sewer use the entire length. d. Fall shall not be less than 1/8 inch per foot. e. 90 bends should be avoided. Any areas requiring 90 bends should be made utilizing a pair of 45's for a gentle curve. f. Bidders will be required to examine the location and route in order to base their specs and quote bid. 2. Cleanouts shall be installed every one hundred to one hundred-fifty feet (100'-150') and at any angles over 45. 3. Disposal of old line shall be vendor responsibility. 4. Contractor to provide all necessary related permits, supplies, and equipment to complete the project in its entirety. Must be licensed with the City of Topeka. 5. Warranty a. Manufacturer shall warranty all items of their manufacture to be free of defects in workmanship for a minimum period of 12 months from the date of delivery.
