Scope of services The successful firm shall provide professional material testing inspection services for the project. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, testing and retesting, equipment, transportation, Insurance, and every item of expense necessary to perform construction field laboratory testing as Requested by dgs's authorized representative in accordance with the project design documents (plans and specifications), construction processes and applicable codes. Mt&is services will include, but not be limited to, soils, reinforcing steel, structural steel, aggregate, Concrete, inspections, and reports. All mt&is work shall be performed under the direction of an appropriate engineer licensed in the State of california. Mt&is inspector(s)/technician(s) shall meet the following minimum qualifications: 1. Soil inspection and density testing -comply with astm d 3740. 2. Reinforcing steel inspection -valid international code council (icc) certification as a Reinforced concrete special inspector. 3. Concrete placement inspection/sampling -valid international code council (icc) Certification as reinforced concrete special inspector and american concrete institute (aci) certification as a concrete field-testing technician - grade 1. 4. Masonry placement inspection/sampling - valid division of state architect (dsa) Certification as structural masonry inspector. 5. Shop/field welding inspection -valid american welding society (aws) certification as an Aws certified bolting inspector (cwi). 6. High strength bolting inspection -valid international code council (icc) certification as a Structural steel and welding inspector. 7. Nondestructive testing technician (ndt)-valid ndt level ii certification (or greater) in Accordance with the american society of nondestructive testing (asnt) cp-189. 8. Fireproofing inspection - valid international code council (icc) certification as a sprayapplied fireproofing special inspector. 9. Certified tower climber - shall comply with and receive training under osha regulations 1926 and the american national standards institute (ansi) z359. 10. Steel joist fabrication inspection - valid internation code council (icc) structural steel Special inspector s1. The estimated duration of this contract will be EIGHTEEN (18) months. Site work - work consists of grading, excavation and fill, earthwork, installation of new utilities, building pads, including communications and security systems installation, site lighting, parking, landscaping, fencing, concrete walkways, and a communication tower.
