The City of Gary Department of Public Works invites quotes from qualified vendors to provide asphalt work per the following specifications: Brunswick Park-765 Clark Road * Mill two inches off the existing asphalt court. * Remove all vegetation & soil from cracks, apply weed killer, and infuse cracks with rubberized filler. * Apply liquid binder and overlay milled surface with two inches (2") of virgin asphalt * Seal surface and restripe to match existing. * Glen Ryan Park-4220 E. 6th Place * Same as Brunswick Park Roosevelt Park-2201 Harrison St. * Basketball Court: Same as Brunswick * Tennis Court * Remove all asphalt, fill voids in stone base.Apply vegetation killer over entire area.Install two (2") inches of asphalt base.Install one and a half inches of virgin asphalt.Seal surface, paint and stripe for roller rink. Ironwood Park-1119 E. 24th Ave. * North Basketball Court: * Same as Brunswick * South Basketball Court 1. Asphalt has been mostly removed. 2. Replace and compact missing stone 3. Apply vegetation killer. 4. Install two inches (2") of asphalt base. 5. Install one- and one-half inches of virgin asphalt 6. Seal surface, paint and stripe as required. 7. Install 2 Basketball goals as directed by owner. Howe Park: E 39th Ave and Vermont St. * Main Parking Lot: * 1. Mill 2" and replace surface layer with virgin asphalt and stripe as required. Tolleston Park: 1709 Ellsworth St. * West Basketball Courts (3) 1. Mill 2" of asphalt surface, remove roots from cracks, fill with approved rubberized sealant, apply vegetation killer, install 2" of virgin asphalt. 2. Seal and stripe the Basketball Court as directed. Install 6 goals as directed by owner. * Tolleston Park- SE Court 1. Same as West Court but for Pickle Ball Court Contractors who possess the necessary equipment, training, and experience are invited to submit a quote to the City pursuant to the specifications prepared, to provide asphalt services for the City, and subject to the execution of a contract to be prepared by the City of Gary.
