Reference Number 0000392814 Bid Intent Not Available The City is soliciting bids for airfield painting at the Battle Creek Executive Airport at Kellogg Field. qualified airfield painting contractor that can apply markings to identified areas around the airfield in accordance with the most current version of Advisory Circular 150/5340- 1 and Item P-620 of the most current version of Advisory Circular 150/5370-10. All work will be accomplished on existing Portland Concrete Cement (PCC) or asphalt pavement. The project includes identifying and preserving the current location of all painted markings, to include runway edge markings, runway centerline markings, runway designator markings, chevron markings, holding position markings, enhanced taxiway centerlines, taxiway centerlines, taxiways edge, ILS critical areas, etc. Apply new markings with TT-P-1952E, Type I waterborne paint. Table 3 indicates the APPROXIMATE square footage of work to be accomplished. Contractor is responsible for verification of measurements. The actual quantity of product needed for the yellow and white markings, black borders/outlines, and reflective media is the sole responsibility of the awarded contractor. The Airport will not be responsible for additional purchased materials. Use TT-B-1325D, Type I, Gradation A glass beads to all markings at correct application rates, per Table 1. Table 2 details the marking elements that will require the application of glass beads in accordance with the most current version of Advisory Circulars 150/5340-1 and 150/5370-10, Item P-620. Glass beads shall not be applied to black paint. Glass beads shall be machine-applied, not be cast by hand.
