Description: Cold mix asphalt wedging. Approximately 875 tons of cold mix asphalt. Single hot oil seal coat 3,710 feet x 22 feet. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Pittsfield, Brown County, Wisconsin will accept quotes for the Cold Mix Wedging and Hot Oil Chip Sealing on the following Town roads: Seal Coat with Spot Patching 1. Brookside Drive (Potters Crossing to CTH B) Contact Town Engineer, Paul Willis, Mead & Hunt, Inc., at (920) 593-6854 for detailed questions. Hot mix asphalt surface course including pavement cleaning and tack coat shall follow State of Wisconsin Standard Specification, latest edition. 2. Bids submitted for hot mix paving shall include approximately 165 feet of butt-joints at each crossroad and start and end of project. Hot mix pavement submittals shall also include milling along the flange of curb, approximately 1,075 feet. 3. All bids (Cold mix with chip seal as well as hot mix pavement) will include removal of weeds and debris within the curb line prior to paving activities. 2025 Specifications for Cold Mix Paver Patching and Hot Oil Chip Seal Coating o Cold Mix asphalt will be produced using a SC-800 asphalt and a crushed stone and washed sand aggregate mixture with a top size not exceeding 1/2 ". o The seal coating will be done with a 340-degree 5% cutback ac blend asphalt and fractured washed chip - black stone. Both asphalt and aggregate will be applied full width in one pass. The finished seal coat will be rolled with a duo-packer roller. o All prices will include sweeping and/or vacuuming of excess aggregate in residential yard areas. o Bidders must have a minimum of five years of experience in hot oil seal coating.
