Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Hardeeville, South Carolina. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a parking garage; for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The City purchased 102 Main Street and a portion of 104 Main Street. We intend to renovate the existing house, Garage, driveway, front yard and backyard. The building needs to be converted from residential use to a commercial office space. This building will become the new COH Communications/Media/IT Dept. (Staff of 7-9) The 2-car garage will be converted into studio space for production use. We will expand our parking to allow staff parking for Police, Courts, EOC/Fire HQ and the public. Potentially adding 150 additional parking spaces. This will require reworking the existing parking lots at Police/Court/Fire HQ. The project is included in the City's 2025-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of July 22, 2025, per owner, project will be bid out sometime in the next few months. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
