Sweetwater Utilities Board (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: Cannon Springs Source Water Protection Improvements, Project This Project is being supported with U.S. Department of the Treasury, American Rescue Plan, Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund (SLFRF) grant funding. Therefore, certain restrictions and other Federal requirements are attached to this opportunity. Envelope must also bear on the outside, the name of the Bidder, Bidder's address, and Bidder's license number with expiration date (please refer to Section 00 21 13-1, State of TN ARP - Instructions to Bidders). All bids must be made on blank forms provided and included in the bound document or as provided by Addendum prior to Bid. The Project includes the following Work: Demolition of the existing spring cover and construction of a new masonry springhouse. Vegetative filter strip construction for filtering contaminated runoff. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum (stipulated) price, together with Unit Prices basis as indicated in the Bid Form. The Successful Bidder must furnish Performance and Payment Bonds. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The Project has an expected duration of one hundred fifty (150) days to substantial completion. Prospective Bidders must register and purchase Bidding Documents through online in order to be considered an official plan holder, even if Bidding Documents are obtained from online in either electronic or paper format. The Digital portal will be updated periodically with Addenda, list of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, Addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through online. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from online. The Owner hereby notifies all Bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any Contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex or national origin in consideration for an Award.
