Site work for a road / highway in Manchester, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
Each bid must be accompanied by a Non-Collusion Certificate and by a guarantee in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total sum bid, provided such guarantee shall be for no more than twenty thousand ($20,000.00) dollars. The guarantee may be in one of the following forms: cashier's check, certified check or Proposal Bond, or eBond through Surety2000. The guarantee shall be payable to County of Ocean. In the event that a cashier's check or certified check is used, evidence of ability to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in accordance with Subsection 151.03.01 must also accompany each bid; the usual form of Proposal Bond letter from a recognized Bonding Company will be acceptable. The work to be performed under this Contract consists of the construction of a new traffic signal at County Route 571 (Ridgeway Road) and Beacon Street. There will be widening along the north side of County Route 571 in order to add dedicated left turn lanes at the signal. The Contractor shall anticipate tree and stump removal beyond the roadway widening on the north side of County Route 571. The new traffic signal will be ADA and MUTCD compliant. ADA compliant sidewalk and pedestrian facilities will be installed at the traffic signal. The existing roadway will consist of a 2" mill and pave along County Route 571 from Fairfield Street to Commonwealth Boulevard, and the reconstruction of southbound Beacon Street. In addition, this Contract includes improvements to the existing drainage system, plantings along the north side of County Route 571 to replace the vegetative buffer that will be cleared for the widening, and the replacement of guide rail on the southeast corner.
