The intent of this solicitation is to remove the vegetation on the flats and slopes of the canals, so that the city staff can start maintaining a stabilized embankment. All tree stumps are to be sprayed with herbicide to prevent growth. Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, and material to provide the services as specified herein including, but not limited to, all aspects of canal clearing and maintenance. The Contractor's deliverable result is removal of all vegetation, debris, and obstructions from the canals location within the City of Palm Bay to allow for unobstructed flow of water at each location and to create a maintainable embankment for City staff. The Contractor shall not be required to do any engineering or design work but must be capable of performing basic surveying to check and verify topographic information (i.e., line, grade, slope, interpret plans and drawings for canals). Contractors will bid Canal maintenance as a lump sum, per Canal location. Questions Due Date: Jul 30th 2025, 5:00 PM EDT Questions Online Portal Bid Security shall be submitted and shall be made payable to City of Palm Bay, in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the Bid price and in the form of a certified or cashiers check or a Bid Bond . The time for completion from the issuance of Notice to Proceed is three (3) weeks for each of the locations. The City, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any and all formalities and reserves the right to disregard all nonconforming, non-responsive or incomplete Bids.
