The City of Winston-Salem is readvertising for responses to this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) from interested and qualified firms to provide project management and design-build construction for ten (10)separate Pedestrian Pathways. The new construction and improvements aim to enhance ADA compliance and address the growing needs of the city while improving safety and accessibility for the Citizens of Winston-Salem. The services generally include but are not limited to preliminary design & development, schematic design, final design, cost estimates, construction/bidding documents, permitting, project schedules, construction and construction administration services. In accordance with city policy, M/WBE subcontracting goals will be established once the final design is complete and a cost estimate submitted to the City. This is not to be confused with the 10% minimum M/WBE commitment to use M/WBE subcontractors as part of the design-build team in response to this RFQ. All questions concerning the submittal process of this RFQ should be submitted in writing to Catherine Knisley at catherinek@cityofws.org. This RFQ will in no manner be construed as a commitment on the part of the City to award a contract. The City reserves the right to reject any or all applications; to waive minor irregularities in the RFQ process or in the applications; to re-advertise this RFQ; to postpone or cancel this process; select and procure parts of services; and to change or modify the RFQ schedule at any time.
