This project will reconstruct roughly 1,355 lineal feet of seawall adjacent to the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument in St. Augustine, FL. Each section will be raised to match the elevation of the back of the center wall. Reconstruction of the seawall consists of five different segments: The North Wall, North Transition Wall, Center Wall, South Wall, and South Transition Wall. a. The project is located at Castillo de San Marcos, St. Augustine, FL; b. Magnitude of construction is more than $10,000,000.00 c. The surrounding area is urban with limited staging located at the north lawn of Castillo de San Marcos, 1 S Castillo Drive, St. Augustin, FL 32084. d. Note any unique material delivery requirements. Contractor is required to coordinate deliveries and movements daily with Contracting Officer. Deliveries to north lawn/staging area are unrestricted.Deliveries to the South Seawall area are restricted to 6 am to 8:30 am, but special requests can be made on a case-by-case basis in advance and approved by the Contracting Officer. e. The construction site is 0.1 miles from nearest suppliers and lodging facilities. There is lodging within St. Augustine. f. The Park will remain open during construction, thus contract activities and logistics must be structured and scheduled to minimize visitor impact; g. The site requires protective measures to ensure the surrounding area remains undisturbed; h. The structure is a historic/natural/cultural resource; i. The anticipated period of performance of 550 calendar days including any potential weather shutdown; j. There are no mandated shut-down periods for the work.
