The project is expected to be awarded on October 21st, 2025.** As more specifically described in the Bid Package, the Project includes furnishing all necessary labor, materials, equipment and other incidental and appurtenant Work to replace existing mechanical equipment from secondary sedimentation tanks 7-10 at Oxnard's Water Resource Recovery Facility located at 6001 Perkins Road, Oxnard. Contractor must complete all Work within two hundred sixty (260) Working Days of the City's Notice to Proceed. There will be a $250 assessment for each Calendar Day that Work remains incomplete beyond the Project completion deadline. Any contract for the Project will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible Bidder as determined by the City using the amount of the Total Bid Price for bid comparison purposes. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding process. All Bidders should carefully review the Instructions to Bidders for more detailed information before submitting a Bid Proposal. All questions, other than those asked at the pre-bid meeting and not specifically addressed within the Contract Documents, must be submitted in writing at least five (5) Calendar Days before Bid opening, stating the Project Name and Specification number. All prime contractors, subcontractors, small, minority or women owned enterprises and other interested parties are invited to attend. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award. Secondary Sedimentation Tank Mechanical Equipment Replacement. Furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary and make modifications, complete and ready for operation as shown on the Contract Drawings and specified herein: 1. For the four secondary sedimentation tanks listed below: Secondary Sedimentation Tanks 7, 8, 9 and 10: a. Clean existing secondary sedimentation tanks prior to demolition. b. Demolish existing secondary sedimentation tank chain and flight equipment. c. Repair concrete associated with equipment demolition. d. Repair expansion joints within the secondary sedimentation tanks. e. Install new chain and flight secondary sedimentation tank equipment, including new motor and dual drive. f. Replace scum valves. g. Install new inlet gate valves. h. Demolish existing motorized skimmer actuators. i. Install new FRP skimmers and manual skimmer actuators. j. Install bird repellent netting over secondary sedimentation tank openings.
