Demolition, site work and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Windham, Connecticut. Conceptual plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; and for site work for a bridge / tunnel.

The Town of Windham is seeking input from qualified bridge engineers, architects, and multidisciplinary design professionals regarding the future of the Willimantic footbridge-a historic steel truss pedestrian bridge located in downtown Willimantic, Connecticut. The bridge has recently been closed to the public following a structural inspection that identified significant safety concerns. Questions regarding this RFI may be submitted to the contact above no later than August, 15, 2025. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
