Montgomery County is seeking to retain an Architectural/Engineering firm to assist in providing professional consulting services on an as needed basis for design and construction administration services. Projects under this contract will vary in scope and size during the duration of the contract and the selected consultant will be required to offer just some of the examples listed herein, o Space planning within current County owned facilities o Existing conditions of facilities o Improvements required per NYS Building Code as well as ADA requirements o Mechanical, electrical & plumbing systems design and improvements o Special systems to include fire alarm, security, data o Cost estimating for renovations and/or new construction o Prepare all CAD drawings to be released for project bidding to contractor's o Prepare RFP's to be released for project bidding to contractor's o Prepare all contract documents, addenda's, reports and schedules o Prepare all bid tabulations and recommendations prior to bid awards. Interested firm's submissions must demonstrate their qualifications for Architectural and Engineering services to include but not limited to the following, o Name of firm along with brief history and description of services provided o Identify firm's professional staff who will assist in County projects o Provide the firm's experience with similar projects o Provide at least Three (3) references from similar projects including contact information. The County will select the most highly qualified firm according to the following criteria listed in decreasing order of importance: o Understanding of the work to be done 25% o Experience with similar types of projects 20% o Quality of staff for work to be done 20% o Familiarity with Federal & NYS assisted grants 15% o Client references 10% o Logistics and familiarity with the County 10%. An EOI shall consist of no more than three (3) typewritten single sided pages providing information regarding the firm's qualifications as they relate to the above selection criteria. The firm's certificate of liability insurance must accompany the EOI, an example of Montgomery Counties required insurance coverage for vendors is attached to the RFQ for reference. For the quality of staff, the proposed Project Team should include only full-time employees currently employed as of the date of the EOI. For similar projects experience, include the date the project started and completed or identify that it is ongoing. A successful firm will be selected based upon an evaluation of the submitted material as well as possible interviews by reviewing team from Montgomery County. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
