The City of Pasadena is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to install and deploy a turnkey public Wi-Fi network across seventeen (17) municipal parks. This initiative supports the City's goal to expand broadband access by providing residents and visitors with reliable, no-cost wireless internet service in key outdoor community spaces. The selected contractor will provide all labor, materials, equipment, permitting, inspections, and services necessary to deliver a complete, operational, code-compliant Wi-Fi system, including but not limited to: Procurement and supply of all equipment per the City's Bill of Materials and design drawings. Installation of Wi-Fi access points, backhaul radios, switches, enclosures, and mounting hardware on streetlight poles, utility poles, and park structures. All electrical work required to power equipment, including trenching, conduit, wiring, connections to existing power sources, panel upgrades, metered service installations, grounding, permitting, and inspections. Configuration, testing, and commissioning of all network equipment. Delivery of final as-built drawings and documentation. In-person training for City staff. Five (5) years of comprehensive maintenance and support, including OEM warranty coverage, firmware and security updates, 24/7 technical support, and inventory/asset management reporting. Bidders shall provide one all-inclusive lump sum bid covering all aspects of procurement, installation, electrical work, configuration, training, and five-year maintenance and support. Bidders must possess and provide the following license(s) or certification(s) to be deemed qualified to perform the work specified: C7 Low Voltage or a C10 Electrical license The initial term of the contract resulting from these Specifications shall be for five years from the date of execution by the City. The contract may be extended for two optional one-year extension periods subject to the approval of the City Manager. Electronic Bid bond is required. Bidders must provide all required information for the City to verify the bond with their bid. The bond must meet the following requirements and characteristics: Bid security in the amount of five-percent (5%) of the total bid price in the form of a redeemable or callable electronic surety bond, meeting City requirements, must accompany all bids.
