Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Benton Harbor, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.
Project consists of, but is not limited to, construction repairs and replacement of existing roofing membrane, roof insulation, window units, window glass repairs, masonry tuckpointing, repairs to exterior stair and railings, and as otherwise defined in the project Contract Documents. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. Local Minority Hiring Goal: The City of Benton Harbor requires a Goal of 25% of the total construction cost as local minority participation - per Section 006210. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Procurement Substitution Request: Submit to Architect. Procurement Substitution Request must be made in writing by prime contract Bidder only in compliance with the following requirements: 1. Requests for substitution of materials and equipment will be considered if received no later than ten (10) days prior to date of bid opening.
