Site work for a water / sewer project in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Working plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond of not less than 10%. "Compliance is required with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of 1961, P.L. 987, No. 442; Title VI and other applicable provisions of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; the Department of Labor Equal Opportunity Clause (41 CFR 60 -1.4); Executive Order 11625 (Utilization of Minority Business Enterprise); Executive Order 12138 (Utilization of Female Business Enterprise); in compliance with Section 504 of Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990; the Allegheny County MBE/WBE Program enacted July, 1981, which sets forth goals of 13 percent Minority and 2 percent Female Business Enterprise; and the Allegheny County Ordinance #6867-12, setting forth goals of 5 percent Veteran Owned Small Businesses." The Quaker Valley Council of Governments and/or Glen Osborne Borough reserve the right to reject any and all bids, alternates, or parts of bids, and to waive any informality in the proposals received. The projects consist of the following trades/supplies: Carpenters, Laborers, Concrete, Masonry, Truck Drivers, and Power Equipment Operators. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. This work is the Standard and RPS construction of a plant-mixed, densegraded, asphalt pavement course on a prepared surface using a volumetric asphalt mixture design developed with the Superpave Gyratory Compactor (SGC), using prescribed manufactured additives or modifiers, or plant process modifications or both. Acceptance of the work is based on testing of field samples by the LTS and statistical evaluation of sample test results by Percent Within Limits (PWL) procedures. o Excavating trenches for the installation of utilities. o Backfilling trench with bedding material as specified and indicated and finishing filling trench with suitable material to proposed subgrade. o Compacting backfill materials in an acceptable manner. o Dewatering excavations as required. o Borings and casings, where indicated on Drawings. o Repair of damage to existing facilities or pavements due to construction activities. o Testing requirements. This work is construction or reconstruction of pipe culverts; including subsurface utility facilities, sewers, and storm drains. This work also includes the direct design, manufacturing and testing of reinforced concrete pipes.
