A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The work of constructing The 2025 City of Red Bay Road Resurfacing Project will be let under one Contract that includes various areas. Each area will be considered based on its overall cost. The principal items of work are detailed herein below. Road Resurfacing along 5th Street N.E.; 10th Ave N.W.; Miscellaneous work on Hospital Road, road work in the Brookwood Subdivision; Double H Avenue; miscellaneous work on Gober Drive and 9th Street S.E., at each site. Principal Work: 1. Mobilization (Per Site) 2. Tack Coat (Per Site) 3. Bituminous Concrete Wearing Surface Layer, Leveling & Patching 4. Bituminous Concrete Surface Layer 5. 1.5"- 2" Milling (Per Site) 6. Solid Traffic Stripe (Per Site) 7. Traffic Control Markings (Per Site) 8. Erosion Control (Per Site) 9. Cleanup, Seeding & Mulching (Per Site) 10. Manhole Cover Reset 11. Valve Box Reset (Per Site) 12. Traffic Control (Per Site) No Bid Will Be Withdrawn After the Time for Opening Has Passed. The Owner Reserves the Right to Hold the Bids for a Period of Sixty (60) Days After the Date of Receiving Bids The Owner Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids, to Waive Any Information in Any Bid, and to Accept Any Bid Considered Advantageous to the Owner. The Contractor is Hereby Advised That Time is of the Essence on This Project and That the Contract Time Of 6 0 Working Calendar Days for All Areas Combined and Noted Restrictions Shall Be Strictly Observed. Liquidated Damages Will Be Assessed if the Contract Time is Exceeded. The Contractor May Apply for an Extension of Time in Accordance With the Provisions of the Contract; However, Such an Extension Must Be Approved Prior to the Contract Completion Date to Avoid the Imposition of Liquidated Damages. There will be no Pre-Bid Conference for the project All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
