Site work for a municipal facility in Ilford, Manitoba. Conceptual plans call for site work for a municipal facility.
Decommission, demolish, and ensure proper disposal of the following community infrastructure. All construction materials generated from these activities must be disposed of at the existing Ilford WDS. Old Community Hall, Old Water Treatment Plant 2, Old Water Treatment Plant 3. Ilford Waste Disposal Site (WDS) Closure: Execute the closure of the Ilford WDS in strict accordance with the Waste Management Facilities Regulation, The Environment Act (C.C.S.M. c. E 125), the 2016 Standards for Landfills in Manitoba, and all other applicable acts, regulations, standards, or guidelines. This includes: Material Staging and Removal: Arrange for the staging and removal of bulky and hazardous materials from the existing Ilford WDS. This also includes the removal of derelict vehicles from other disposal grounds within the NAC and FN. Wet Pit Decommissioning: Decommission the Wet/Sludge Pit and ensure proper closure of the asbestos containment pit at the WDS. Geotechnical Work: Complete all necessary geotechnical investigations and work as required to support the closure design. TIMELINE: An RFP for engineering services has been re-issued.
