The following Specifications and other provisions shall govern the performance of the proposed Work and will be made a part of the Contract. Bidder shall provide pre-wash surface cleaning, surface preparation, priming and painting of existing traffic signal equipment to include traffic signal mast arm and pole assemblies, and base covers. The traffic signal control cabinets, associated brackets, black polycarbonate traffic signal and pedestrian signal heads and associated brackets/hardware are not included in this work and shall not be painted. The work wil be performed in place at three intersections and includes the following scope of work: 1. Timing of Work & Penalties a. Work can begin as early as Monday, September 9, 2025, and must be completed by Friday, November 21, 2025. Liquidating damages of $50 per pole per Workday will be assessed until the Work is completed. b. Work on the traffic signal bases at the Village's Public Works Yard may be performed between the hours of 7 am and 3 pm CST time, Monday through Friday. Commercial abrasive blasting may only be performed at the Village's Public Works Yard. There are a total of 13 bases (8 large and 5-small). c. Bidder will be allowed to park a limited number of pre-approved vehicles overnight at the Public Works Yard when Bidder is actively working on the project. 2. Quantity & Location of Light Poles a. There are eight (8) traffic signal assemblies (mast arms and poles) and five (5) traffic signal poles of varying lengths installed in the Vi lage to be refurbished, including 13 pole bases (8 large, 5-small). b. The traffic signals wi l remain installed in their current locations during the performance of the Work. A map and list with locations will be provided prior to the start of the Work. The traffic signals to be refurbished are located at the following intersections: 1) Sheridan Rd and Westerfield Dr 2) Sheridan Rd and Lake Ave 3) 15th St and Lake Ave The Village of Wilmette ("Village") will receive bids electronically Painting of a number of traffic light poles in the Village. Description of Work The proposed work is officially known as Traffic Light Pole Painting, as further described in the Specifications section of this RFB. Availability and Clarification of Documents This RFB and any addendums will be posted online. It is the sole responsibility of the Bidder to check online to determine if an addendum has been posted.
