Note - Last Day to Submit Questions August 12, 2025 at 3:00 PM Work consists of demolition and reconstruction of Reservoir Road in Henry County, Virginia for the purposes of maintaining adequate access to surrounding properties, including those slated for future development. This project consists of demolition of the existing roadway prism, placement of widened asphalt sections, fine grading for drainage conveyance, and installation of drainage infrastructure. The project is generally described as providing all labor, materials, supplies, tools, equipment, transportation and all incidentals required and/or implied for the complete and satisfactory performance necessary for the reconstruction of Reservoir Road. All work shall be provided in accordance with the Invitation for Bid Documents and associated Contract Drawings. Prospective bidders must appear on the current version of VDOT Pre-Qualified Vendor List at the date & time noted for the opening of bids in order to be eligible for this contract. If a contract is for one hundred twenty thousand dollars ($120,000) or more, or if the total value of all construction, removal, repair, or improvements undertaken by the bidder within any twelve-month period is seven hundred fifty thousand dollars ($750,000) or more, the bidder is required under Title 54, Chapter 11, Code of Virginia (1950) as amended, to show evidence of being licensed as a "Class A Contractor" prior to award of the Contract. If a contract is ten thousand dollars ($10,000) or more, but less than one hundred twenty thousand dollars ($120,000), the bidder is required to show evidence of being licensed as a "Class B Contractor" prior to award of the Contract. Time is of the essence and any bid received after the announced time and date for submittal, whether by mail or otherwise, will be rejected. The time of receipt shall be determined by Henry County Purchasing Department. Bidders are responsible for ensuring that their bids are received before the deadline indicated. A download link containing PDF files of the Bidding Documents may be obtained at no charge. Checks for Bidding Documents shall be payable to "Timmons Group". Upon request and receipt of the document fee indicated above, Bidding Documents may be picked up at the Issuing Office or will be transmitted via delivery service or email. The date that the Bidding Documents are picked up/transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.
